Audio Description

Audio Description (AD), also known as Descriptive Audio or Video Description, narrates the relevant visual information contained in a video and is an accommodation for blind and low-vision viewers. AD can also be provided for live events. In both cases, these descriptions provide context to clarify speakers and articulate visual elements that are critical to gain a comprehensive understanding what is being seen.

Trained describers create the descriptions then either a synthesized speech output or human voiceover can be used. Standard AD is where the original video is never paused and descriptions are only inserted during natural breaks when there is no dialogue. (New file is same length as original.) Extended AD is where the video is paused to get full descriptions in when necessary. (New file is longer than original.)

Pricing for audio description is based on duration of each file rounded up to nearest minute.

Standard AD (synthesized voice):  $25.00 per minute
